Ford Electric Cars!
It looks likely that the first mass production electric Ford car will be based on the Focus.
Ford have qute a long history of involvment with electric vehicles but have decided that the most cost effective way forward is to utilise the existing capabilities of an outside company.
Magna International had been developing an electric system for some time and had actually based it on the Ford Focus for practical reasons, so was an ideal choice of business partner for Ford.
It looks like the first vehicles may roll into production in 2011
